Hayley Moorman

Hayley produces work stretching from photography to video and most recently sculpture. She is fascinated by the artificial and challenging the boundaries concerning the natural and the unnatural. Hayley creates imaginary and other worldly sculptures inspired by geodes and crystalline forms. The combination of form and decorative embellishment help construct the theatrical and low-pro element of the work. The forms hold prop-like qualities and play with the idea of truth to material by using playful and reflective materials to create an illusion of another object. The work invites the viewer in to this imagined and fictional formation between matt and shimmering surface. The sculptures then occupy installations which focus on three elements, earth, landscape and the world above.
